I’ll admit that the triple bill of Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and Big Boi, while respectable, isn’t the flashiest or most exciting Super Bowl Halftime Show line-up I’ve ever seen. Sure, I knew I’d watch it, but I wasn’t expecting anything to blow me away. However, seconds after Maroon 5 took their signature M-shaped stage, I spotted something that I did get very excited about: On lead singer Adam Levine’s wrist appeared to be a Rolex Rainbow Daytona. I may or may not have walked across the room, remote in hand, attempting over and over to pause mid-“Girls Like You” to catch a closer look. He’s a big Rolex collector, often spotted wearing vintage Paul Newmans and the like, so I knew there was a pretty good chance this was exactly what I thought it was. After a few starts and stops, and a handful of texts back and forth with HODINKEE colleagues, it’s safe to say this is one of the coolest Watch Spottings in a while.
In case you forgot what the much-talked-about Rainbow Daytona looks like, here’s a refresher from our hands-on look at the Everose version that debuted at Baselworld 2018:
