Introducing the Hublot Big Bang Golf Watch with DJ Dustin Johnson

Accompanied by pro golfer and ambassador Dustin “DJ” Johnson, Hublot recently unveiled this Big Bang Golf watch in Shanghai.

Naturally, the watch can be used to track one’s stroke count, thanks to a mechanical Hublot-developed module which is integrated with the watch’s Hublot Unico caliber.

I can already hear the Hublot-haters scoffing at this piece – and yes it is a bit frivolous and expensive way to track your golf score – but I think Hublot did a nice job with this watch .  The 45mm case of the Big Bang Unico Golf is cut in Texalium, an Hublot material which merges carbon fiber and aluminum and is very lightweight at under 98 grams.

Easy to manipulate pushers (replacing traditional chrono pushers) enable the wearer to track hole, stroke count per hole, and total strokes.

The watch also comes with a velcro strap or a rubber-lined black and white leather straps, either of which will blend in with a golf glove and on the course.  Or at the “indoor range” as is more popular in many parts of Asia.

And it is packaged with some extra Hublot branded golf goodies – tees, balls, ball holder and towel.
