Two new “all black” Tambour models from Louis Vuitton. One is a time only with small seconds in a 41.5mm black PVD finished steel case, the other is a chronograph in a larger 46. The Tambour was introduced in 2002 and marks the beginning of Louis Vuitton watchmaking. Today it is their signature design, with the tambour aka “drum” shaped case having the 12 Louis Vuitton letters revolving around the periphery of the case. There been many intriguing and spectacular issues of the Tambour watch over the years, but I would say this version, with its prominent grey “V” running across the dial, is a bit more in the trendy/fashionable category.
