In 2018, ARMIN STROM will be present for the first time in the Carré des Horlogers at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH). The SIHH is one of the leading global events in the watch industry field and is organized each year by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva, and is a much more formal & intimate affair than Baselworld (the world’s largest watch fair).
Historically dominated by Richemont Group brands (Cartier, Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Vacheron Constantin, A. Lange, Piaget, Roger Dubuis) and other high-end brands, in 2016 the SIHH began to include smaller, independent watchmakers in an area known as the Carré des Horlogers (“square of watchmakers”). For 2018, Hermès is joining the pack and independents DeWitt, Ferdinand Berthoud and Romain Gauthier have already been announced as joining.
Thanks to significant investment from its owner, Armin Strom is a vertically integrated manufacture with a unique aesthetic and ethos that has helped them stand out in the crowded world of high-end independents. They also have a young and very creative Chief Design — Claud Greisler — who is leading the charge along with owner Serge Michel to make Armin Strom an enduring and forward-thinkng brand. Thus Armin Strom keeps good company, and deservedly so!
Serge Michel, the ARMIN STROM proprietor, confirms this: “Our presence in this privileged environment is an honour. The invitation from the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie is a great distinction which confirms our own exacting standards.”
The next SIHH will be held from January 15 – 19, 2018 in Geneva. The final day of the show is open to public once again (entrance fee).
