The Edox Chronorally Sauber F1 Team asks us to bend the knee to the golden pusher

Edox doesn’t get enough respect. This solid, well-made brand has been around for decades and their latest, the Cronorally, looks like they’re finally coming around to modern styling. Their Sauber F1 Team is a huge piece with a solid 48mm titanium case and a quartz chrono movement with big date and, most important, a massive golden pusher that looks like the button you use to start a rally car in an alternate steampunk future.

The oversize chronograph pusher, speed scale on the inner bezel (tachymeter) and slick “tyre tread” rubber strap reinforce the F1 pedigree of the 48mm watch, which is also water-resistant to 100m and comes in a special presentation box.

The Edox Chronorally Sauber F1 Team 25th Anniversary Limited Edition’s dial sports a bold logo marking Sauber’s 25 years in a sport (it is the fourth-oldest team competing in F1) where success demands perfection at every turn – the same ethos that Edox applies to its mission of producing the best value for money timepieces on the market.

The piece is shipping now and costs 1590 Euro. It’s water resistant to 100 meters and comes on a rubber strap.
