Broadening its color range, Panerai has unveiled a trio of watches with military green dials, available now in all Panerai boutiques. There are two Radiomirs (PAM 735 and PAM 736), and a more complicated Luminor monopusher chronograph (PAM 737).
The Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days GMT Titanio PAM 737 has a 44mm titanium case, a single-button chronograph and second time zone hand. This watch with Panerai caliber P.2004 (hand wind) has an eight-day power reserve shown on a linear indicator
The P.2004 features features a vertical clutch and column wheel construction:
The Radiomir 8 Days Titanio PAM 735 is also titanium (45mm) with Panerai’s hand-wound P.2002 movement. Like the P.2004, the P.2002 has three barrels and an eight day power reserve, though the power reserve indicator is on the back. Precise time setting is easiy thanks to a convenient zero-reset hacking seconds and hour hand adjustable in one-hour steps.
The simplest of the new bunch is the Radiomir 1940 3 Days Acciaio PAM 736. Though similarly styled, it has a 47mm steel (‘acciaio’) case which keeps the price down as does the less complex P.3000 movement which is Panerai’s “entry-level” caliber used in most 47mm Panerai watches. The watch has a date display and a three-day power reserve. Also regular rather than “onion” style crown of the PAM 736 above.
Matching their dials, all models come with a green-lacquered cherry wood box and a spare rubber strap.
