The Horological Society Of New York Heads West With Traveling Education Classes In Seattle And Silicon Valley

This weekend, the Horological Society of New York (HSNY) is headed to Chicago to kick off its 2017 traveling education tour, followed by a visit to Philadelphia the next weekend. We love teaching these classes! The moment balances begin to oscillate after a complete disassembly and reassembly brings a smile to everyone’s face. Next up on HSNY’s tour: Seattle and Silicon Valley.

Horological Education classes will be offered in Seattle over the weekend of February 25 at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center. The next weekend, that of March 4, HSNY will head to Silicon Valley, where it will hold classes at Rosewood Sand Hill in Redwood City, California. The Silicon Valley classes are hosted by Stephen Silver.

HSNY Traveling Education Class

At HSNY’s award-winning classes, students discover what makes a watch tick. The hands-on course is taught by HSNY’s staff of professional watchmakers. Students work on a mechanical watch movement, studying the gear train, winding and setting mechanisms, and escapement. This four-hour course covers everything taught during the four individual courses usually held in New York City.

Enrollment is now open for the Seattle and Silicon Valley classes, and we look forward to seeing you there!
