Girard Perregaux Neo Bridges N° 1 for Colette

A follow on to the Neo Tourbillon (debut 2014), the less complicated and more affordable Girard-Perregaux Neo Bridges watch (24300 Swiss Francs) was revealed earlier this year at Baselworld.  An impressive watch in its own right, the watch blends past with present by utilizing GP’s distinctive bridge design (as see on top of many of Girard-Perregaux’s Tourbillons), though with an avant-garde looking black PVD finish rather than traditional gold.  The GP Caliber 08400-0001, an automatic mechanical movement with a micro-rotor at 10 o’clock visible from the dial side, also has a dark NAC finish (a plating technique not unlike DLC).

Which brings us to today — another Girard-Perregaux Neo Bridges watch, but with a slight twist:  this one distinguished by its blue hour markers and hands.  Subtle, yes.  But these particular embellishments are for Colette, the Parisian boutique of all things quirky, beautiful, fashionable, unique and trendsetting (Colette, by the way, will be be shutting its doors later this year as its eponymous founder has announced).
