In The Shop: A 1968 Rolex ‘Paul Newman’ Daytona Reference 6241, A 1950s Tudor Oyster-Prince ‘Tuxedo,’ And A 1960s Favre-Leuba Harpoon

And we’re back! This week we have a very diverse selection of watches, ranging from super thin dress watches with sharp hands to bold chronographs with lots of color and unusual geometry, with brands like Tudor, Omega, Rolex, and Breguet represented. Read on to see the full selection.

1968 Rolex ‘Paul Newman’ Daytona Reference 6241

This week we are back with a bang, featuring this gorgeous Rolex “Paul Newman” Daytona reference 6241. This iconic watch features a black acrylic bezel and so-called “pump” style push buttons.  This watch is all about the dial though, with a full set of lume plots, three colors of printing, and gorgeous, subtle patina, you won’t want to miss out.

1950s Tudor Oyster-Prince ‘Tuxedo’

This Tudor Oyster-Prince “Tuxedo” may look like a Polerouter, but it’s not. The awesome two-tone dial with mirrored chapter ring and glossy black center create an elegant silhouette, suitable for pairing with – you guessed it – a tuxedo. Furthermore, this watch is powered by an automatic movement and measures a discreet 34mm in diameter. Perfect for discretely checking as you pop it out from under your French cuff. 1960s Favre-Leuba Harpoon

Favre-Leuba isn’t a name you hear often, which is exactly why we like this simple watch. It has a gorgeous tropical dial with a tonal date display and a well-proportioned case, reminiscent of quite a few other vintage favorites. Furthermore, it is powered by the caliber 1152 “Daymatic” movement, which was created in partnership with Doxa, Eberhard, Girard-Perregaux, and Zodiac. Click here to see the full listing.

But Wait, There’s More.

In addition to these three awesome watches, we have a great selection of pieces including: a 1940s Universal Genève Compax in steel, a 1976 Tudor Submariner reference 9411/0 “Blue Snowflake,” a 1959 Omega Ranchero in rose gold with a linen dial, a 1970s Wittnauer Professional Chronograph reference 7004A, a 1972 Rolex Day-Date reference 1803, and a 1972 Rolex “Red” Submariner reference 1680.
