At Baselworld 2017, Carl F. Bucherer unveiled two new limited edition new variants of its Manero PowerReseve model. Vivid new colors aside, the Manero PowerReserve is a very well designed watch, with a beautifully arranged dial conveying day, date, small seconds and power reserve. The new dials — your choice of bright midnight blue and luminous pine green — are very attractive and when complemented by their matching calfskin straps make for an irresistable combination. Each color variant is limited to 188 models worldwide.
I think the Manero PowerReserve is a great choice if you are looking for a well designed and finished watch with manufacture caliber that conveys a sense of sophistication and appreciation for fine design, while also not being another run of the mill “big name” brand. More broadly, Carl F. Bucherer is putting our some great watches across the board these days (have you seen the Patravi ScubaTec?), and is by and large an underappreciated brand, in my view. The upshot here is that means you can get a great watch for the money. As for these new limited edition Manero PowerReserve models, price will be $ 11,000.
Carl F. Bucherer Manero PowerReserve
Limited edition 188 pieces in each color
42.5mm x 12.54mm stainless steel case
The centerpiece of the Manero Power Reserve is the CFB A1011 caliber automatic movement. It belongs to the CFB A1000 movement family, entirely designed and developed by Carl F. Bucherer and launched in 2008. The peripheral oscillating weight winds in both directions to create a power reserve of at least 55 hours when fully wound. The semicircular display at 3 o’clock indicates the remaining power at any given time.
